Parshall Flume

A Parshall flume has a special shaped open channel flow section which may be installed in a ditch ,canal, or lateral to measure the flow rate. It is a form of venturi flume and is named for its developer.

Ralph L. Parshall was a pioneer in the fields of civil engineering and hydrology, Parshall is best known for developing the Parshall Flume at the then-named Colorado Agricultural College's hydrology lab in 1921 (CSU)

Washington Street Pump Station

The City of Eureka Washington Street Pump Station is located on the corner of Washington and Koster in Eureka. Built in 1982 it is a drywell-wetwell station with 6 pumps that serves most of Eureka. More photos at Flikr
